High Purity Aluminum Completes Spin-Off from Laurand Associates to Specialize in Ultra-High Purity Aluminum (4N to 6N5)
Boca Raton, FL – December 31, 2024 – High Purity Aluminum (HPA Distribution, LLC), doing business as High Purity Aluminum (www.highpurityaluminum.com), today announced its successful spin-off from Laurand Associates, effective December 31, 2024. This strategic separation allows High Purity Aluminum to operate as an independent entity dedicated solely to the supply of high-purity and ultra high purity aluminum products with a minimum purity of 99.99% (4N and higher), including 5N (99.999%), 5N5 (99.9995%), 6N (99.9999%), and up to 6N5 (99.99995% - MBE Grade).
The spin-off enables High Purity Aluminum to strengthen its position as the leading U.S. ultra- high purity aluminum supplier, and sharpen its focus on serving core customers in specialized, high-technology sectors, including research institutions, quantum computing, physical and chemical vapor deposition (PVD/CVD), thin-film coatings, electronics, optics, solar, chemical processing, medical applications, superconducting technologies, and other advanced industries.
The company will continue to offer a comprehensive range of forms—including pellets, plates, sheets, ingots/blocks, wire, foil, rods, disks/sputtering targets, and custom alloys—while emphasizing rapid delivery, competitive pricing, and tailored fabrication services to meet the exacting demands of these markets. All materials are supplied with full certification and traceability, meeting the stringent requirements of highly technical grade applications.
Laurand Associates will remain focused on its core business of distributing commercial-grade primary and secondary aluminum alloys. These products, which serve general industrial, manufacturing, and foundry applications, are entirely separate from the ultra-high purity segment and will continue to be handled independently under Laurand's established operations.

Expanded Product Offerings: We have expanded our range of products and sizes that we can keep in stock. We are now able to offer larger plate and sheet sizes with shorter lead-times for custom projects in a full range of purities from 4N (99.99%), 4N6 (99.996%), 5N (99.999%), 5N5 (99.9995%) and 6N (99.9999%).
Plate and Sheet: We can now offer thicknesses up to 2.5", widths up to 36", and lengths up to 80" depending on the thickness with quicker lead-times than in the past.
Improved Machining Capabilities: We have improved our Machining capabilities to produce more custom targets and specialty plates, as well as extruded tubes. We can turn your computer files (CAD files such as stp, drw, and dwg) into finished products at competitive prices. We emphasize our price competitiveness, as well as our prompt service.
