High Purity Aluminum Distribution (HPA Distribution) was founded in 2004 by aluminum industry veteran Laurence Goldfarb, who brings more than 40 years of experience in the global aluminum market. Today, Laurence and his daughter Gabrielle lead the company as a family business built on trust, integrity, and personal service. To us, that means treating every customer with the care and attention we would give our own family.
Our customers are engineers, advanced manufacturers, researchers, and scientists who know exactly what they need. They rely on correct purity, accurate specifications, and reliable lead times — and they know immediately when a supplier gets it wrong. That understanding shapes everything about how we operate.
Accuracy Over Marketing
We don’t overstate purity. We don’t use round numbers when we have actual data. We don’t label a material 5N if the GDMS analysis says 4N+.
In specialty materials, the difference between a grade label and accurate purity data matters. A research group using our aluminum in thin-film deposition needs the precise analysis of each element — not marketing language. We provide actual analytical data with every shipment and describe our materials the way an honest technical colleague would: with specific numbers and appropriate acknowledgment of variability. We would rather lose a sale than ship material that doesn’t perform as expected.
Traceability Is Non-Negotiable
Every item we ship comes with a lot-specific Certificate of Analysis — the actual measured values for key impurity elements, not a general grade specification. We supply comprehensive GDMS analysis for all 5N (99.999%) minimum products and for many of our 4N (99.99%) products.
This level of documentation matters in regulated research environments, process qualification, and anywhere material traceability is part of the experimental or manufacturing record. We maintain records on our end as well. If a customer needs to trace a material years later, we can support that.
We Understand the Applications
We are specialists in high purity and ultra high purity aluminum, not a general metals distributor. Our customers work in semiconductor manufacturing, quantum computing, fusion energy research, synchrotron science, battery development, and advanced materials R&D.
We know what they do with the aluminum they buy from us. That means we can discuss why 6N5 is specified for MBE while 5N may be sufficient for certain sputtering applications, or which forms load best into different evaporation systems. We don’t expect our customers to educate us about their work.
US-Based Supply, Reliable Lead Times
We maintain substantial domestic inventory as a US-based high purity aluminum supplier. This allows us to ship quickly so our customers are not dependent on international logistics for materials that may sit on the critical path of a research project or production run. Supply chain resilience matters, and we built our inventory position to be a reliable domestic source.
